Cory Seals

Cory Seals is an interdisciplinary artist and community curator that uses performance, two dimensional art, and research to bridge the gap between activism and art practices; and create spaces of freedom and expression to empower others to live in the fullness of their experience. He has committed most of his childhood and young adult life to his passions for art and community activism. His community engagement derives from his upbringing in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, a city rich with black activist history, where mentors and collaborators led him to create and engage in several outreach programs, protest demonstrations, and art events. He is currently studying at the University of the Arts to obtain a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Vocal Performance and is taking steps through the university as the president of the African Diaspora Collective and a DEI Fellow for the School of Music, and in the Philadelphia community with local projects to cultivate spaces for communion geared towards cultural enrichment, peer mentorship, arts advocacy, black and queer history, and activism.
